1956 · THE BEGINNING

A story that began on Denizciler Street.

After mastering his craft at Pandeli Restaurant in Istanbul, Mehmet Recai Boyacıoğlu began the story of Boğaziçi Lokantası in Ulus, Ankara in 1956.

Our restaurant on Denizciler Street introduced guests to Turkish and Ottoman dishes. From morning soup to lunch, our tables became part of daily life in Ankara.

FROM FATHER TO SON

“Running a restaurant is an art.”

Mehmet Recai Boyacıoğlu passed his craft and dedication to his son Halil İbrahim Boyacıoğlu. Guided by the belief that running a restaurant is an art, this journey reached its third generation with Sefa Boyacıoğlu.
